NAPA Rowtarians Take on the Atlanta Dragon Boat Race
At the North Atlanta Professional Alliance (NAPA) Rotary Club, Service Above Self doesn't take a rain check. Our NAPA “Rowtarians” proved it at this year's Atlanta Dragon Boat Race and Family Day, paddling hard against a full field of 70 other competing boats, rain and all.
This annual event has become one of our favorite traditions, and this year was no exception. Team NAPA hit the water with the same energy that's carried us all year, and neither gray skies nor a soaked dock could dampen the spirit on our boat. Members and their families came out to cheer, connect, and celebrate together, because that's what a Family Day is for. Our 2026 NAPA Potluck winner, Lily Leung, served up her homemade dumplings and a secret sauce, that bested all other dishes provided this year by and to our hungry Rotarians.
Dragon boat racing takes real teamwork: every paddler has to move in synchronized rhythm, trust the person next to them, and keep pulling even when conditions get tough. Sound familiar? It's not so different from what we do as a club every day.
Thank you to every Rowtarian who showed up, paddled hard, and reminded us all what community looks like when it's soaking wet and still smiling.
