A reminder that we are on a journey to our new meeting place - Maggiano’s Little Italy, Perimeter Mall, 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Rd., Dunwoody, GA. Here's where you'll find us for the next few weeks:
And while we'll keep meeting Fridays at Maggiano's, the week after our move we're still "on the move" - with the float decorating party on June 29 and the rest of our July 4 tradition. Join us on the parade route or at the hot dog stand to welcome in the new Rotary year. We hope to see everyone everywhere!!!
We hope you are planning to join us Thursday, June 19 at 5:30pm for our end of the Rotary year celebration at the Dunwoody Country Club. The Rotary Club of Dunwoody will celebrate our recent Club of the Year award and all we have accomplished during Louise Barden’s year as President.
You and a guest are invited for this dinner event tomorrow night, but please reach out today to Dave Burr (dave@mailcenteretc.com) to confirm your reservation.
As part of the celebration, Louise Barden is creating centerpieces for the tables which the dinner guests can purchase for $25. All the proceeds will be donated to Anchor Place Respite Dunwoody.
Ready to play in the dirt with your friends from the Rotary Club of Dunwoody? Then this is your lucky Saturday! Join Ranger Fred Bounds as he continues this week's celebration of the green at Bounds Gardens, the traffic island across from the Dunwoody Library! We'll be there - with gloves and our favorite garden tools - at 9 am. this Saturday, June 21. Hope you can join us!
You may remember Matthew mentioning last Friday that the RI President-Elect had announced he was stepping down from his presidency that would have started July 1. This past Saturday, Rotary International announced a new President for 2025-26 - Francesco Arezzo of the Rotary Club of Ragusa, Italy.
Current RI President Stephanie Urchick said, "Francesco Arezzo has been a member of Rotary for more than 30 years and is a Benefactor of The Rotary Foundation. His dedication to Rotary values and vision for a better world make him a remarkable choice to lead us forward. This transition reminds us that Rotary is more than any one individual—it is a global movement, deeply rooted in fellowship and service, capable of adapting and thriving no matter the challenge. Now is the time to Unite for Good under Francesco’s leadership, and together we will propel Rotary into a future defined by hope, action, and community."
