Rep. Au has been representing much of the Johns Creek community since first elected in 2020. She was initially elected as a State Senator in 2020, and then as a State Representative in 2022. In addition to serving as a State Representative, Rep. Au has been a practicing physician, an anesthesiologist, for more than ten years. She is the owner of her medical practice -- also making her a small business owner here in Johns Creek. And in 2020, she earned a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University. Rep. Au and her husband have three school-aged children, all of whom attend Fulton County Public Schools. Rep. Au is a 2nd generation Chinese-American, making her one of only a few Asian-American legislators in the State, which drives her to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of all underserved communities.
