Rotary Starts with Relationships

What is FREEDOM all about? Alternatives? Choices? Decisions? Options? Opportunities? Preferences?

All synonyms for our ability to consider what our new Rotary Year will become and accomplish when we reflect at the end of next June about what we actually achieved in our Clubs, District, and Internationally in the name of Rotary.

If we think about ROTARY acrostically, we all must begin with: Relationships. As we know, when the first Rotary Club was organized in 1905 in Chicago, Paul Harris wanted to foster and emulate the familiar, friendly spirit he had felt in the small towns of his youth in his new home, Chi-Town. So, he made the decision to initiate a weekly meeting of good folk who shared his benevolent, ethical, professional, and social interests. Rotary continues to this day to be simply 'good folk' making the choice to connect, unite, take action, and make a difference. "Connecting'" begins with "relating." This Rotary Year, be intentional...be approachable, be friendly, be aggressive in connecting and recruiting other good folk to join our Clubs because...

"Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves."
